THE STORY OF The Mall

Standing proud amongst the area’s beautiful Regency architecture, The Mall has been central to community life within Clifton Village since the 1800s. Cosy yet cavernous, this unique Bristol pub is the perfect place for relaxation and refreshment whilst sightseeing around Bristol or browsing Clifton’s superb selection of independent shops and boutiques.

Perched on the edge of green and leafy Clifton Down, close to Gloucester Row and Beaufort Buildings, The Mall occupies a prime spot within easy reach of Bristol’s key attractions and is just a stone’s throw from the spectacular Clifton Suspension Bridge on the Avon Gorge.

Combining period features with contemporary touches, and offering its delightful ‘Secret Garden’ for al-fresco drinking and dining, The Mall oozes history and charm, holding the authenticity of a true British local close to its heart. Our downstairs bar lends itself perfectly to private hire and we are happy to cater for group bookings, whatever the occasion.

Hard to resist on a sunny day, our buzzing beer garden is the Mall’s hidden treasure, creating an urban sanctuary where you can enjoy a chilled local cider or cheeky Sailor Jerry’s whilst absorbing the village pub atmosphere. With three tiers of paved patio and plenty of seating, we also offer sheltered areas and outdoor heaters for those days when the weather is a little more Bristol than Bahamas. Check out our summer garden barbecues, when the smoky aroma of our handmade burgers draws people from both sides of the Avon...

With vibrancy and vintage character in equal measure, we like to the think the Mall reflects the variety and richness of life in the local area – pay us a visit and let our friendly team look after you...
